What book next?

what book next 1

I spend more time sat in front of my bookcase looking at all my books, deciding what to read next, than I do actually reading. It takes me days to figure out what book to start reading and it is so frustrating! However, after a bit of research I have found a few extremely handy websites that do all the thinking for you.

  1. www.whatshouldireadnext.com
This website is really simple to use, you just type in the title or author of the last book you read, or the last book you read that you really liked and it will give you a list of similar books and/or books by that author that you may enjoy. If you see a book that sounds like it may the one for you, click ‘info/buy’ and it will take you to Amazon.
  2. www.yournextread.com
This one is very similar to the one above, the only difference really is that the aesthetics are a bit better, but it’s exactly the same concept.  Once you’ve found a book you like the look of, click on it and the site will provide your with a list reviews from Amazon and a link to buy it. I personally prefer this site to the one above, it’s my go to book finder.
  3. allreaders.com
This websites goes into huge amounts of detail. You can find a book by specifying every aspect of the type of book you are looking for, from the genre right down the gender of the main character and writing style. You can specify as much or as little as you would like, however the less options you choose the more books it will present you. This is perfect for anyone who is particularly fussy about their book choices!
  4. www.quibblo.com
Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned personality quiz? This site gets you to answer a few questions and then will recommend a book you need to read. It’s fun and a little quirky! It’s kinda like a dating site .. but for books.

If you still can’t find a book that catches your eye then just ask around a little bit. Ask some friends what they would recommend, or take it to social media. The book for you is out there somewhere!
