It’s been close to 3 weeks since I last posted, so I figured I should probably get my ass back in gear and start blogging again. I was tagged to do this post by the lovely Hannah, and I thought a good old tag post was a lovely way to ease myself back in posting so here it is … The Bloggers Tag.
Just an FYI, there are A LOT of questions so I imagine you will know me better than I know myself by the time you get to the end of this post.
Q1: How tall are you?
Urr, that’s a good question. I’m not entirely sure, I think it’s about 5’3″.
Q2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
It’s so hidden, that I haven’t discovered it yet..
Q3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
Okay, so I don’t know if this is really blog related as such, but I really hate automated DM’s on Twitter. Seeing as they are almost ALWAYS promoting their blogs, Youtubes, etc – I think it’s blog related. So yeah, stop that. Please.
Q4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
SO MANY. Actually debating on writing a post all about my pet peeves. Drivers not using their indicators, OR indicating after they’ve turned – why? People who talk REALLY LOUDLY on their phone whilst on the bus. When the person in front of you in the queue at at the supermarket is rude to the person behind the counter – is that really necessary? Just be nice, it’s not that hard. I could go on..
Q5: What’s your favourite song?
Currently, anything by The Chainsmokers. All time, there are lots but I would definitely say It Must be Love by Madness is one of my favourites. Madness were one of my dads favourites bands and he used to play them all the time when I was younger, and we played It Must be Love at his funeral so it will always be a very very special song for me.
Q6: What’s your favourite social media website?
Twitter, without a doubt. It’s SO brilliant for talking to and meeting like-minded people, getting exposure for your little corner of the internet and for ranting to the world in 140 characters.
Q7: What’s your favourite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
All sorts really. Reading, watching trashy TV like Jeremy Kyle (IT’S SO TRASHY I LOVE IT), binge read blogs, avoid adult things like washing up and laundry…
Q8: What’s your favourite junk food?
Anything chocolate. I could live off chocolate. Also, McDonald’s, mmm.
Q9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
SAFFIEBEAR! Saffie is my little kitty, she’s 5 months now and she’s my absolute life. She can be a helluva bitch sometimes, but she can also be super sweet and lovely. And yes, I’m going to show you a picture, I’m sorry – I can’t help it.
Q10: What are your number one favourite nonfiction and fiction books?
For the sake of my sanity, I’m not even going to try and answer that question. I have way too many favourites, I love so many books.
Q11: What’s your favourite beauty product or tool?
Um, I’m not really a beauty person. But I would say my favourite tool would definitely my eyelash curler, it’s crazy how much difference it can make!
Q12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
Hahaha, I embarrass myself at least twice daily. My most recent was today on the bus and I was having a lovely conversation with a little old lady on the bus and we were talking about the cold weather to come and I said: “It’s very cold, but I love Winter because that’s when all the trees lose all of their feathers”, luckily she just had a little giggle but why did I say feathers?
Q13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Either coffee or coca-cola, literally live off of both of those. Without coffee I would just be a puddle of laziness on the floor.
Q14: What’s your favourite movie?
So many to choose from! Big Hero 6 is by far one of my absolute favourite animated movies, I watch it like 3 times a week.
Q15: What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
I loved English, and I still do. I’ll be forever grateful for our required reading lists, it introduced me to so many beautiful books.
Q16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Um… I mean I’m quite happy where I am! But I have always wanted to live in Italy. I’m not fussed whereabouts in Italy, I just wanna live there.
Q17: PC or Mac?
I use to PC, but I really want to get my hands on a MacBook Air. So, either I guess1
Q18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? (or kind gesture from a friend)
I have no social life nor friends, so that’s just kind of an insult to my life ..
Q19: Favourite celebrity?
Um.. I’m not really sure.
Q20: What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
All of them. I just want a friend really.
Q21: Who is your biggest inspiration?
My mummabear. For too many reasons to list, she knows why and that’s all that matters.
Q22: What is your favourite blog to read?
WaaaaAAAaaaay too many too list. I love you all!
Q23: What is your favourite high street shop?
Primark. Without a doubt. Literally the best place for a poor person like me. Plus, their candles smell amazing.
Q24: Are you in education or do you work?
I work. In Bristol, for a scientific publishing house. And I love it.
Q25: One thing you are proud of?:
I’m proud of myself for many reasons. One of my biggest accomplishments that I will be proud of forever is that when I was younger, I f*cked my back up big time. I kind of basically broke it in like 5 places and slipped a load of discs and just messed it right up. After a lot of little operations that didn’t really work, I had one rather large op that basically turned me into the terminator. I now have a lot of metal work in my back and fusions and wires and blah blah. Anyway, this particular operation landed right in the middle of my GCSE’s. I spent about a year out of school, and that year was essential to passing my exams. The school were great… to start with. They sent me a load of work to make sure I didn’t fall behind, but eventually they just kinda forgot. So, I taught myself that years curriculum and went on to pass 9 out of 12 of my GCSE’s. ON MY OWN! So, not only did I overcome major back surgery but I also managed to teach myself they entirety of Year 11 – with Mum’s help of course, but ya know. ON MY OWN!
