How to bring Hygge into your life

Now, I know I’m late to the party with this one – Hygge is a trend that completely blew up at the end of last year and it’s still going.

Hygge (pronounced ‘Hoo-gah’) is a Danish way of living. It’s all about finding comfort and happiness in simple things, it focuses particularly on the comfort side of things. It pretty much translates to chunky knit blankets and scented candles. Or at least, that’s how I see it.

This has to be my favourite trend at the moment, it suits me to the ground and it works really well alongside my self-care rituals. There are so many different ways you can bring a bit more Hygge into your life – just think about what makes you feel cosy and comfortable and there you have it! In case you’re stuck for ideas, here are a few to get you started…

  1. I so agree! Hygge is such a lovely movement and it does go hand in hand in adopting an attitude of self love and care. I really liked ‘Hygge, The Danish Art of Happiness’ by Marie Tourell Søderberg – its full of lovely pictures and cosy tips. I’m really enjoying your blog – thank you!
